Flexi Desk vs Dedicated Hot Desk
The two most common coworking plans are the flexible seat and the fixed desk, and the names are used differently by different operators. Here is how they work at OORA and how to choose between them.

What a Flexi Desk is
A Flexi Desk gives you any available desk on a first come, first served basis. You do not own a spot, so you sit where there is space. It starts at ₹7,000/month for the first 30 members, then ₹8,500/month, plus GST.
At OORA, personal computers are not allowed on the Flexi Desk plan and the mini conference room is not included.
What a Hot Desk is
A Hot Desk is a dedicated, fixed desk reserved for you. It starts at ₹8,500/month for the first 30 members, then ₹10,000/month, plus GST. You can bring your own computer and the mini conference room is included.
Side by side
- Desk: Flexi is any available desk; Hot Desk is your fixed desk.
- Reservation: Flexi is first come, first served; Hot Desk is reserved for you.
- Your own computer: not on Flexi; allowed on Hot Desk.
- Mini conference room: not included on Flexi; included on Hot Desk.
- Common amenities and the main conference room booking: the same on both.
Choose Flexi Desk if
- You work a few days a week or at irregular hours.
- You want a professional place to focus without paying for a reserved seat.
- You are a freelancer or early-stage founder watching monthly costs.
Choose Hot Desk if
- You want the same desk, the same monitor setup and the same routine every day.
- Your work needs your own computer and files.
- You hold small client or team meetings often and want the mini conference room included.
A worked example: cost per working day
Suppose you work from the space on about twelve days a month. A Flexi Desk at the founding rate of ₹7,000 works out to roughly ₹580 per working day before GST. If you work from the space most weekdays, say twenty-four days a month, a Hot Desk at ₹8,500 works out to roughly ₹354 per day. The numbers shift with your pattern, so do the same sum with your own calendar.
The point is that the cheaper plan on paper is not always the cheaper plan per day of use. A fixed desk also removes the small costs of rebuilding your setup each morning.
Things that change the decision
- Whether your work needs your own computer on site. Hot Desk allows it; Flexi Desk does not.
- How often you host small meetings. The mini conference room is part of Hot Desk only.
- How much you care about having the same seat every day.
- Whether your team may grow. Extra fixed desks can be added as the team grows, subject to availability.
What stays the same on both plans
Both plans include the common amenities: high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, filtered water, regular housekeeping, keyless entry, storage, the on-site support team and the in-house outdoor cafe. Desks are open Mon–Sat 08:00–23:00 (Sunday closed). The main conference room is a paid booking for everyone at ₹1,500 for the first hour.
Still unsure?
Visit for a tour and ask to sit in both areas. Compare your cost per working day: if you will use the space most days, the fixed desk is often the better value. The full details are on the memberships page, and our cost guide explains what is behind the price.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I upgrade from Flexi Desk to Hot Desk later?
- Ask the reception team about moving plans. Availability of fixed desks decides how soon a switch is possible.
- Is GST included in the plan price?
- No. Plan prices are shown before GST. Reception confirms live rates.
- Which plan is better for a two-person team?
- Two Hot Desks are usually the better fit, because each person gets a fixed desk, can use their own computer and shares the mini conference room.
